Death of a Spouse/Partner Support Group

This on-going support group is for people whose spouse/partner has died.

This group is free of charge and does not require a commitment to attend a certain number of sessions.

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early the first time you attend a support group to fill out the opening paperwork (this must be completed prior to attending group).

People who arrive 5 minutes after group begins will not be allowed to enter.

Gentle Yoga Class

This is a gentle yoga class aimed at stress reduction through stretching, movement, breathing, and meditation. This class if for all ages and all abilities. All poses will be modified for any body. Class can be done in a chair. Class is taught by certified yoga teacher Pat Hartman from Copper Tree Yoga Studio.

Class Dates: Mondays, 9:15—10:45 am. Contact Horizon Grief Resource Center at (414) 586-8328 for six week session dates. Gong (Relaxation/Meditation)

Join Kathy Zvara, RYT, 3HO, who is trained in playing the gong for a wonderful liberation of the soul.

Gong (meditation) is a simple technique of influencing the body, soul and mind that helps us raise our own awareness of ourselves, of our needs, hopes and expectations. Bringing us one step further to accomplishing harmony, energy balance, and spiritual uplifting.

No experience necessary, this is an opportunity for you to make those shifts in your life and your being you have been looking to make.

This experience is received lying down in a comfortable position. You will need to bring: something to lay down on (a yoga mat or blanket) as well as a blanket to cover up with (as most people get cold lying on the floor during meditation).

These 12 oils are centuries old but their constituents and properties have never changed.  This deep dive through this 1-1/2 hour seminar walks us from Ancient Egypt to King Tut's tomb, through WWII to Present Time.  Starting with a short movie and moving into a PowerPoint presentation which explores scripture for each essential oil, including oils application, brings all the "scent'ses" into play truly providing the audience a working knowledge of Frankincense, Myrrh, Galbanum, Spikenard, Onycha, Cedarwood, Cassia, Rose of Sharon, Cypress, Hyssop, Myrtle and Calamus.
